Orbit XO

Preparing for launch

Tic-Tac-Toe

Part of Games & Play

Two players. One board.

Orbit XO is a Tic-Tac-Toe game for iPhone, made for two people sharing one device — with twelve space-inspired themes and nothing to sign up for.

Orbit XO is preparing for launch on the App Store and is not available to download yet.

Tic-Tac-Toe needs nothing more than two players, so it shouldn't need an account, a connection or a setup screen.

Orbit XO is built natively for iPhone and plays entirely on the device: pass it back and forth, take turns, and watch the winning line light up. Every round is dressed in one of twelve themes drawn from the solar system and deep space.

Orbit XO is for two people on one iPhone: there is no computer opponent and no online play.

How it plays

  1. 01

    Take turns

Two people share one iPhone. X goes first; tap an empty square to place your mark.

  2. 02

    Win or draw

Three in a row wins, and the winning squares light up with a line through them. A full board with no line is a draw.

  3. 03

    Play again

Play Again starts the next round, and the player who didn't open the last one goes first. The scoreboard keeps X wins, draws and O wins until you reset it or close the app.

Twelve themes

Each theme restyles the whole game — the board, the marks, the winning line and the controls — and Orbit XO remembers the one you choose.

  • Eclipse
  • Sun
  • Mercury
  • Venus
  • Earth
  • Moon
  • Mars
  • Jupiter
  • Saturn
  • Uranus
  • Neptune
  • Nebula

The swatch beside each name is the colour of that theme's tiles.

Private by design

Orbit XO has no accounts and makes no network connections, so it plays the same offline. It remembers only your theme, sound and haptics choices, and keeps them on your iPhone.
